Group stop motion - Awkward love scene

This video was shot on a college day using a canon 400D camera. We used continuous photo's to tell a story for our group stop motion we came to a decision of an awkward love seen this took time as we had to wait for people passing by and in the way. We hope you enjoy!

Research

Western Spaghetti by PES is absolutely amazing and all aspiring stop motioners should take note from this. It has to be my favourite by far, the effort and creativity with the household objects used as food is just awesome. In todays TV ads they are doing similar things with food companies to promote their brand. This is just too good!

Elastic band spaghetti and yarn cheese. That is impressive work.

Research

Deadline is probably the most famous on the web, this was a youtube phenomenon! Skilled work and incredibly time consuming as he had many different sequences involving the large amount of sticky notes and staying in the same kind of position. This stop motion must have been an incredible task. Definitely one of my favourites!

Rhett & Link's T-shirt war stop motion is a great example of stop frame work, they use a large amount of photos which sequence together to show a funny story as each t-shirt has a different style of destruction and the opposite person has a way to help stop or cause it.

In this assignment we will explore the genre of narrative in imagery by showing the passing of time and telling stories through multiple photographs. The sequence could take place through fractions of seconds or over multiple weeks. My story can be fact or fiction; it could be staged or factual documentation of a subject. I may want to create an informative photo-essay, an organised conceptual piece or experiment with trick photography.

The assignment aims to enable us to develop skills and understanding of the design process and skills in applying this in the creation of art and design work.
